Awards – How They Work
Eligible Businesses
Any business in the 5158 postcode can be nominated. Businesses in the immediate vicinity who service the 5158 region are also eligible. Any Hallett Cove Business Member (regardless of where they are located) are eligible. HCBA committee members can be nominated for the general awards but will not be eligible for Business of the Year Award.
Category Winners
Nominations
The top 5 businesses in each category, as determined by public vote cast in the nomination period, become finalists.
Submissions
The top 5 businesses were invited to complete a submission, which included details such as
- clientele type
- business practices
- environment
- what they contribute to our community
Submissions were reviewed by a panel, which included members of the Hallett Cove Business Association committee and external parties (eg, City of Marion Councillor Sarah Luscombe / Office of Local MP David Spiers). The panel then decided who were the Award Winners and Runner Ups.
